HOW DOES IT WORK?
Unlike dialup, DSL or cable modems which depend on underground wires our service uses advanced radio wave technology to be wireless. We simply install a small receiving antenna on the roof of your property and a wireless access point in your building. If your location is within near line of sight of Genesys Computers or any one of our three towers we can have your surfing with speed in no time!
FAQS
How do I qualify?You are eligible for our service if you live within 2-3 miles of one of our transmission towers, sometimes even further. A free test will be conducted to determine if a strong enough signal can be received at your location!
Do I need an additional account with my ISP?
Nope, you don’t need an account with an ISP at all! At this time Desertgate is the only local ISP that offers this service ad runs it completely "in-house", that means no extra ISP sign up fees!
What sort of equipment do I need?
Rather than a standard modem , you will need a Network Interface Card (NIC) or USB port. If you do not have this equipment Desertgate’s parent Company Genesys can provide you with one (they cost less than a standard 56k modem.) You will also need receiving equipment, described in the cost description.
Why should our business use Wireless Broadband?

Will my computer work with your service?
All you need is PC with Windows 98SE or higher, or a Macintosh with MAC OS 8.0 and higher. Internet Explorer 5.0 or above highly recommended.
How much does it cost?
Just $40/mo for residential or $60 for commercial! Compare that with dedicated circuits of similar speed costing more than $300/month! You will also have a one-time equipment purchase of $249 (or a $10/mo rental) , which includes a Wireless access point, antenna with mast, and all necessary cables, and a one time $99 installation fee.
How do I get started?
Just go by Genesys Computer Sales and request a site survey application. If your building qualifies as “in range”, simply fill out our customer agreement form and we will have a tech on location within 48hrs!
